Abstract: A new API supplier was identified for a modified release broad spectrum antibacterial capsule drug product. Samples from three separate batches of each material were provided for assessment. A series of both solid state and chemical tests were conducted in order to allow a comparison to be made, and determine whether the material from the new supplier would be suitable for routine use in commercial manufacturing.
